Pakistan - 400 Year Old Ganish Valley An Ancient Village

Ganish Village or Ganish Valley are the same name of beautiful place located in Pakistan. Ganish village is a Pakistan’s most oldest and ancient village it’s on the very know silk route in Hunza. Silk route is very famous route in all across the word. This Silk Road in Urdu language is called Shara-e-Resham.

  • Ganish Village is also called Ganish Basti in Urdu Language, its mean town. It’s located in Hunza which is 90 km away from Gilgit. It takes approx. 2.5 to 3 hours’ drive from Gilgit to Ganish village. Ganish name is taken from old language Brushaski. Ganish meaning is Gold. The road to way of Ganish Valley or Village is resembles and in shape of Alphabetic word “S”.

  • It’s a more then 400 year old village consist of small number of families now a days. In the meantime total 4 disasters came here, which splash everything and because of all these disaster the town became small town. The reason behind all these disaster was River Hunza.
